For just $10 you can purchase a RELOADABLE King Soopers card today and shop away! You keep this card and reload it whenever it runs low. Aspen Creek K-8 will receive 5% of all money put on cards each month.
When you spend $200 a week on groceries for your family, you will be donating $10 a week to Aspen Creek K-8.

into drawings for fun prizes from our local favorites. Plus, we’ll have tons of great concessions like pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, candy and loads of fun drinks. The DJ will be announcing AC Choice Awards throughout the evening. Kids will vote at school. Parents can even get in on the voting….all ballots will be online.

BVSD & Aspen Creek PTA are proud to present a community forum on school culture and climate. Please join us for this important event with Bill De La Cruz, a nationally recognized expert in equity, school climate, and the process of transforming school culture. He will be facilitating small group discussion about how we talk with our kids about issues of conflict resolution, equity and bias in school and the world around us. Please support our staff and kids as they take on the tough task of improving the learning environment at Aspen Creek.
Free childcare will be provided. Please arrive a few minutes early to check your kids in with our childcare providers.

On Wednesday, December 7 students from Aspen Creek travelled to Colorado Springs to host our OCHO book fair for students at Wilson Elementary. Thanks to the generous donations of our students and others who donated books for our students that read their 8 books we were able to provide over 2000 books for the fair. Each student was able to take home 4 books to keep. Plus there were some leftover for teachers to use in their classrooms. Mr. Perez and his
students were grateful for the books…especially at this time of the year. Be sure to check out the OCHO poster on the front door of the school…there are lots of great pictures of happy faces. Way to go Aspen Creek!
Join us for an evening of family fun on Friday, November 4 from 5:30-8:30 at Aspen Creek. For dinner we will be serving meat & vegetarian chili, mac & cheese, salad, dessert and a drink. We’ll also have popcorn, cotton candy and yogurt to tempt you taste buds. On our Cafetorium stage we will be featuring molecular gastronomist Ian Kleinman, aka the Nitrogen Chef. His unique combination of science and food will be sure to entertain.
The small gym will be home to our popular silent auction items. Come and bid on gift baskets with themes suchas Breakfast in Bed, Disney, Family Game Night & Colorado Sports Fan. Plus we have items such as Humter-Douglas shades, a Winter Park mountain home, front row seating for special Aspen Creek events and much, much more.
The big gym will be home to the kids’ favorite games such as duck pond, lollipop tree, bean bag toss and cake walk as well as fun activities such as the ever popular crazy hair and face painting tables.

She brought up some interesting points and really had all who attended thinking about how to answer those awkward questions that come up. In its more than 40-year history, the Reflections program has encouraged millions of students across
the nation and in American schools overseas to explore their artistic talents. The program offers students the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. Students in preschool through grade 12 are encouraged to submit works of art in six arts areas:
Reflections Theme – “Diversity Means…”
Each year, the National PTA Reflections Program challenges students to create art inspired by a specific theme. Themes are selected from hundreds of ideas submitted by students in the PTA Reflections Program Theme Search Contest. Past themes have included “Exploring New Beginnings,” “If I Could Give the World a Gift…,” “A Different Kind of Hero,” “I Can Make a Difference by…” and “Wow!” and “Together we can.” The 2011-2012 theme is “Diversity Means…”

Thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s Broomfield Days float the best ever. We had kids of all ages, from little ones in wagons to older ones on unicycles. Check out the pictures including one with Kelsey Gilliam our float designer extraordinaire. Another one from the Broomfield Enterprise features Brenna Fankell as our Coyote mascot. We had a fun time cheering and howling as we walked along Midway Blvd. If you missed it this year make plans to join us next year.

back as a donation. The Mimi’s Cafe location at The Orchard on 144th near I-25 is supporting us with this great event. Be sure to scooter, walk or bike to school on Wednesday, October 5 for International Walk To School Day. We’ll be joining kids around the globe for a day dedicated to walking for fun with your friends, for clean air and for health. Everyone will get a tasty treat compliments of Clilf Bar. Bus students will have the opportunity to walk the last few blocks to school. Aspen Creek K-8 has also been chosen for the “Shoot The Moon” program…students walking, biking or scootering at least 3 times during the week of Oct. 3-7 will get a free school lunch and a coupon for $1.oo off a Rush Bowl smoothie.
